ULAB journalism department’s visual exhibition of Summer 2019 begins

  The Visual Communication Art Exhibition of the Summer 2019 semester was inaugurated at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh on September 4, 2019. The Department of Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) at the ULAB organized the event as a part of its Curriculum Integration program. ULAB Vice Chancellor Professor H. M. Jahirul Haque and Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Shamsad Mortuza inaugurated the event on the university’s permanent campus premises in Ramchardrapur area of Mohammadpur in Dhaka. Later, Professor Jahirul and Professor Shamsad visited different wall arts while students of the department briefed the guests about the theme and meaning of their works. The theme of this semester’s Curriculum Integration program was Social Norms Theory. Based on the theory, students of the department depicted their thoughts through various art works. Praising creative works of the students the vice chancellor said the activities are part of active learning. And active learning is necessary to make the learning fruitful. MSJ Department Head Professor Jude William R. Genilo and other faculty members were present on the occasion. Later, he gave vote of thanks.
