Cinemascope’s film-reading session on Alamgir Kabir held

Cinemascope, a film apprenticeship programme of Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) department at ULAB, has recently hosted a two-day-long film-reading session, titled “Alamgir Kabir: The concealed master of Bangla Film Industry”, on the campus. This is the first session for Fall 2018. The purpose of the session was to find out the special qualities of Director Alamgir Kabir's movies. Writer Professor Dr Salimullah Khan and Professor Dr Nadir Junaid were present as discussants. On the first day, 26 October, the audience had the opportunity to watch two films -- “Mohanayok” and “Shomana Periye”. On the second day, 27 October, two more films -- “Surjokonna” and “Rupali Shaikate” -- were screened. Cinemascope members took part in the discussion both days.
