PR4U, an apprenticeship programme of Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) at ULAB, celebrated its second founding anniversary at Campus A Auditorium on August 28 amid much fanfare and jubilation. Ikram Mayeen, managing director of ForethoughtPR, attended the event as the chief guest. He talked about all the struggles he faced in his 24 year career, inspiring the students. Earlier, Professor Dr Jude William R. Genilo, head of MSJ, delivered the welcome speech. During his speech, he recalled the birth of PR4U and appreciated PR4U’s effort to continue with the birthday event despite the programme being rescheduled a few times due to the country’s political unrest. Then came the certificate giving ceremony where Ikram Mayeen and Dr Jude handed over certificates to the PR4U members who achieved minimum 100 points -- a prerequisite to obtaining the certificates. Later, PR4U’s advisor Abu Tayub Mohammad Farhad delivered a vote of thanks, appreciating PR4U for their hard work put into the event. Marking the anniversary, a cake was cut. After a refreshment break, all the ex-CEOs along with the current CEO were called on stage to share their experiences involving PR4U. This was followed by a heartwarming rendition of the song ‘’Coffee house er shei adda ta’’. A video containing PR4U’s work so far and two PSA videos with social awareness messages were also screened.

PR4U members Zerin Tasnim Tahsin and Al Nabid Farhad hosted the entire event. Shangskriti Shangshad (SS) Club, ULAB Radio Campbuzz and ULABTV were the strategic partners of the event.
