CinemaScope, a film apprenticeship program of Media Studies and Journalism department at ULAB, has recently organized a workshop styled Mise-en-Scene. Renowned filmmakers Amitabh Reza Chowdhury and Zahidur Rahim Anjan conducted the workshop dividing it into three segments.

The first two segments, conducted by Zahidur Rahim Anjan, took place on January 8 and 9. During the first session, the participants were taught the basic language of film, technical issues involving the proper use of film equipment, and the necessity for good dialogue in film.

The second session on January 9 focused on script writing. The apprentices came up with a script each while the mentor brushed up the ideas for further improvement.

Citing examples, Amitabh Reza Chowdhury guided the apprentices towards a possible and realistic production plan. The workshop ended with a script analysis of the upcoming CinemaScope production.
