Project title: Youth Connect: Digital Citizenship and Misinformation Resilience Project

The Youth Connect: Digital citizenship and Misinformation Resilience Project is a strategic, seven-month initiative designed to strengthen Bangladesh's resilience against the spread of misinformation. Led by the Center for Critical and Qualitative Studies (CQS) at ULAB, the project involves a robust coalition of partners including Fact-Watch and ForensIQ. The core activity is delivering 20 hybrid training sessions to a total of 600 youths selected from nine universities. The intensive, non-residential training focuses on a contextualized 40-hour curriculum dedicated to Media and Information Literacy (MIL) and Digital Citizenship. The ultimate success is measured by two expected outcomes: Increased Digital Literacy Among Trained Youth and the establishment of Sustained Youth-Led Community Action and Advocacy. To achieve the latter, participants are guided to implement at least 40 community action projects, reaching a direct target of 2,000 community members and an indirect reach of up to 5,000 more. The project commits to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) by setting specific targets for participation (e.g., at least 30% women/girls/minority genders) and addressing issues like online harassment.
